Online Hypnotherapy – How it works

Online hypnotherapy works in exactly the same way as face to face sessions but with a few added benefits.

The more familiar environment of your own space and not having the stresses of travel can help create greater calm within. Being calm is an essential part of any hypnotherapy session.

In our first hypnotherapy session, I will gently question you as to what’s important to you as well as what your expectations may be. Then, together we will seek to understand any underlying causes preventing you from making positive changes on your own.

Next, you are gently guided into hypnosis which allows for a deep state of focused awareness and as you relax into a hypnotic trance your attention is drawn inwards, bypassing the critical and analytical mind.

During hypnosis, your subconscious mind is more receptive to positive change; and you can begin to uncover the skills and resources hidden deep in your subconscious, enabling you to bring about lasting and positive change.

Hypnotherapy clears the mind of clutter, negative thoughts, unhealthy habits and imprinted patterns and programming that have been holding you back from becoming the very best version of yourself.

Put simply, hypnotherapy is a process that empowers you with life changing possibilities.

It’s easy and normal to connect

Most often our online hypnotherapy sessions are experienced over Skype or Zoom, but it’s normal for my clients to receive their sessions over the phone with the aid of headphones or ear buds.

Here are some things to keep in mind when preparing for your session:

  1. Choose a comfortable room that’s away from any external noise or the possibility of interruptions.
  2. Find a restive position either sitting in a comfortable inclined chair or laying down on a couch or bed.
  3. Soft lighting and good airflow are preferred.
  4. If we’re using Skype or Zoom, it’s okay once our session starts, to situate your laptop, phone or tablet near to where you are resting.
  5. It is also preferable that you inform a friend or family member of the start time and duration of your session and ask them to remain in another room until it’s over.
